In this quiet two minutes, I brace myself.
It's another day of a life under construction. I'm back at the threshold, here in the liminal. I'm clawing my way upward. The clock changes minute by minute.
I can hear in the distance someone reminding me that I'm on a mission. They're telling me I was called for this. I can squint and see the banner waving over their head:
"You do good everyday."
It'll have to do until I get things figured out.
