trying

My job is a billionaire micro decisions. It's repetitive and ever changing all at the same time. Sometimes my inner narration tells me this is too hard and it's too much. Sometimes it says, "Look, you've got this. You're great at this." Sometimes it fails me altogether and I have to take a moment to regroup, whispering to myself, "Keep trying."

I'm trying to train that inner narration to go quiet in the late evening. I'm trying to tell the anxiety that tomorrow's problems belong to tomorrow. I'm trying to free up space for the part of the my brain that mindlessly creates something from the energy of the wands suits in the tarot. I'm trying to become myself again, or at least discover who I am underneath the armor I needed to create this last year around myself.

I'm trying, I'm trying, I'm trying... that's one true thing.

I'm trying.
