unearthing the words

There are words buried deep within me.

About a year ago, I took my words and placed into a box. I picked up a shovel and dug 6 feet down. Lovingly, I placed the box onto damp soil and picked up my shovel again. I covered that box and wondered if I'd ever see it again.

I could not write during survival mode. That part of my brain was locked away and my head hurt anytime I tried. I let rest in the box.

Today I pick up that rusty shovel and I dig down again.

I dig until the box is in my hands and I dust away the dirt from the top. I take a deep breath before opening it.

Imagination emerges, old ideas, and essays like this one. Today I have created a homebased for these words and they are here on this website.

I'm ready to start building again, sentence by sentence.
